Camping in Keswick
The Camping and Caravanning Club has announced its acquisition of a new site to help you explore the heart of the fantastic Lake District.
Braithwaite Village – formerly known as Scotgate Holiday Park – offers a variety of camping facilities close to the market town of Keswick, between Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite.
Motorhomes are welcome on the site, which is pet-friendly and offers a mix of grass or hardstanding pitches. Visit the club’s website for more on the park and get set to explore the Lake District in style.
While you’re there why not carry on north over the border into Scotland to see the sights of Edinburgh.
No Scottish road trip is complete without a visit to its much-loved capital, and Edinburgh’s award-winning attraction, The Real Mary King’s Close, is offering holidaymakers a virtual event this month (March 13) to showcase the darker side of both this historic site – and the city itself.
An ideal ‘taster’ of what this fascinating attraction will have to offer visitors when it’s allowed to safely re-open later in the year, book online at www.realmarykingsclose.com
And did you know? Hailed as Edinburgh’s best underground experience, The Real Mary King’s Close and its warren of streets, homes and passageways offer a unique five-star visitor experience, unlocking the secrets of the city’s only preserved 17th century street.
